Chris’ biography:
My name is Christopher Kimpel and I am a 24-year-old, originally from Syracuse, NY. Although I always had an interest in music, my love of opera has only flourished in the past few years. My grandmother always loved to sing and was a part of many choirs. She was the one who got me interested in singing, and whose voice I listened to, considering that both my parents were tone deaf. After spending years in grade school doing musicals, I decided to pursue a degree in music education at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. There I met two incredible voice teachers who imparted to me a love of opera, and because of them, I decided that I wanted to be a professional opera singer. Through a friend, I was introduced to Romano’s Macaroni Grill. I was hired as an opera singer and have been singing and working there for the past year and a half. When I am not singing or working, I love to run, watch sports and cook. Thank you for your consideration!
