Henrietta Five Below store is the first in Western NY | News
Five Below has opened its first store in Western New York. The new store, located in the Market Square shopping center in Henrietta, opened earlier last month, bringing thousands of items and trends priced $1 to $5 to area shoppers.
“We’ve found that our vibrant atmosphere and value — and trend-driven merchandise appeals to shoppers of all ages — to anyone who wants to live or relive their teenage glory,” said co-founder and CEO of Five Below Tom Vellios.
Five Below offers electronics and iPad accessories, DVDs and video games, sports and fitness equipment, cosmetics and fashion accessories, and an extensive seasonal line, which currently includes beach towels, flip flops, pool toys, tiki torches and sunscreen, all priced $5 and below.
The company first entered New York State last year, opening stores in the Syracuse, Binghamton and Albany markets.
A second Western New York location is scheduled to open later this year in Victor. These store openings are part of a growth initiative that includes the debut of 50 new stores in 2011. By year’s end, Five Below will have nearly 200 stores open across 16 states.
