Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A RIT student was seriously injured on campus last night while working at the school's convenience store.
School officials say the fourth-year illustration major student was working at the Corner Store when she was injured when an expansion joint connecting water pipes malfunctioned in the store's storage area. The store was located on the lower level of Nathaniel Rochester Hall
The student suffered second degree burns on her back, hands, ankles, legs and arms. She is currently being treated at the Burn Unit at Strong Hospital.
Because of this incident, right now, there is no hot water or heat in parts of Nathaniel Rochester Hall and Fish Hall. RIT is working to repair the expansion joint and get hot water restored.
